To be honest, though, the Yankees clearly had a need there, and next year, once Nady/Damon/Matsui are gone, Swisher is an easy fit in LF, and they can even get a corner OF bat.

i don't think there is any excuse ANYONE can make for a team being able to spend 423.5 million dollars in a single offseason
